Students in my studio will be encouraged to succeed in accordance with their individual needs. All of my students, no matter whether they are 6 or 60,  are treated as peers, and assist in setting their own goals. Technique and theory are addressed each lesson, but I also leave time in lessons for students to find their own voice and style, which motivates and allows musicians to achieve goals they can be proud of. I believe that teaching music is not just theory and performance, but encouragement to love and study the art as a lifelong pursuit.

As a musician with over 20 years experience playing and performing in many different atmospheres, I take that real world experience into my lessons and my relationship with my students. Even if all of my students do not end up center stage as professional performers, they will have the tools necessary to communicate and perform with the pros.
